Tissue Lysis Buffer is a hypotonic solution that allows the release of the cytoplasmic compartment from tissues. Its ameliorated composition enables the correct lysis of a complex specimen such as eukaryotic tissue (e.g., mouse liver, human muscle, etc.) while preserving the ribosomes intact. This allows subsequent processes such as active ribosome isolation (with RiboLace) or canonical ribosome profiling experiments.
